Would You Rather Game Online
240 questions in six decks. Tap your answer and see how everyone else voted. Free, no account.
How to play would you rather
- Pick a deck. Classic works for any group. Switch decks whenever the mood changes.
- Read both options out loud. Leave a beat of silence before anyone answers.
- Everyone commits. Count to three and point left for the top option or right for the bottom one. Nobody changes their mind after the count.
- Tap the option the group picked. The bars fill in with the percentage of players who chose each side.
- Defend it. The player with the smallest group explains their choice. Then tap Next question.
There are no winners or scores in the base game. The point is the argument that follows a split vote. If a question gets a quick unanimous answer, move on.
Here is how the percentages read. If three players have tapped the top option and one has tapped the bottom one, the page shows 75% and 25% and says there are four votes so far. With so few votes it also tells you the numbers will move. Once a question reaches 25 votes, the page stops warning that the numbers will move.
The six decks, 240 questions
Every deck is written for one kind of group, so you can hand the phone to a table of strangers without a surprise.
| Deck | Questions | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Classic | 40 | The questions everyone argues about. |
| Funny | 40 | Silly, absurd and a little gross. |
| Kids | 40 | Wholesome picks for ages 5 and up. |
| Adults | 40 | Grown-up dilemmas, PG-13. |
| Work | 40 | Icebreakers for teams and offices. |
| Halloween | 40 | Spooky, not scary. |
One question from each deck, and how to use it
- Classic: “Have free flights for life or have free meals at any restaurant for life?” Ask each person where the first trip would go.
- Funny: “Sneeze glitter or burp bubbles?” Let the group decide which one is harder to hide at a party.
- Kids: “Have a pet puppy or have a pet kitten?” Younger players can give a one-word reason, and older ones can add a second reason.
- Adults: “Get a raise of 10 percent or get an extra week of paid vacation every year?” Ask each person what raise would make them switch sides.
- Work: “Get a surprise bonus or get an extra week of vacation?” Count the votes and see which perk the team values most.
- Halloween: “Have a pet bat or have a pet spider?” Let each player name the pet they picked.
The Work deck is built for team meetings and offsites, and it stays away from jokes about named bosses or colleagues. The Funny deck leans absurd on purpose, which makes it the easiest one to start a car ride with.
More would you rather lists
These pages hold their own questions to read out loud, none of them repeated in the game.
Play would you rather on a video call
- One person shares their screen with this page open. If screen sharing is not available, that person reads each question out loud.
- Everyone types A or B in the chat on a count of three, so nobody copies the first answer they see.
- The host taps the option the group picked and reads out the percentage that appears.
- Pick one person to explain their choice, then tap Next question.
The host’s tap is the only one the site counts. Players who also open the page on their own phones add their own votes to the total.
Every question in the six decks
All 240 questions in the game, grouped by deck. Read one out loud, or pick a few before guests arrive. The game above plays the same questions in random order and shows live vote percentages.

Five ways to play would you rather
- Predict the crowd. Before you reveal, everyone guesses the percentage of players who picked the top option. The closest guess earns a point.
- Silent vote. Everyone writes A or B on a scrap of paper and shows it at the same time. Nobody sees anyone else's answer first.
- Switch sides. Pick the option you think your left-hand neighbor would choose, then check with them.
- The lawyer round. A random player has to argue for the option they did not pick. Everyone else judges how convincing it was.
- Speed round. Agree on a five-second limit per answer and race through ten questions. It makes a good warm-up before a longer imposter game.
How to write a good would you rather question
The best questions make both sides cost something. If one option is clearly better, the vote is 95 to 5 and nobody has anything to say. Three habits help:
- Trade like for like. “Be able to fly” against “turn invisible” works because both are superpowers. “Be able to fly” against “stub your toe” does not.
- Keep each option under ten words so it fits on one screen.
- Add a small catch to the tempting side. “Free flights for life, but you always get the middle seat” splits a room.

Frequently asked questions
Is this would you rather game free?
Yes. All 240 questions and all six decks are free, with no account and no app to install.
Do all players need their own phone?
No. One phone is enough: read the question out loud, let everyone choose, then one person taps the option the group picked. If you want a real vote, pass the phone around and let each person tap for themselves.
Where do the percentages come from?
From everyone who has voted on that exact question on this site. Each tap adds one anonymous count to the question. The site does not check who you are, so the counts are taps, not unique people. When a question has only a few votes, the page says so, because three votes do not tell you much.
Does the site track my votes?
It stores one total per question and no personal details, such as a name, an account or an IP address. Your device remembers which questions you answered so you do not see them twice, but nothing stops you voting from another browser. The privacy page has the details.
Which deck is safe for kids?
Use the Kids deck for ages 5 and up. The Halloween deck is spooky but not scary. The Adults deck stays at PG-13 and covers money, dating and work-life choices, so keep it for older teens and grown-ups.
Can I suggest a question?
Yes. Email a pair of options and the deck you think it belongs in. New questions are added to the end of a deck, so existing vote counts stay attached to the right question.
