How to play Christmas would you rather
- Pick a reader. Whoever holds the phone reads one question out loud.
- Everyone answers at once on a count of three: point left for the first option, right for the second.
- The smaller side explains itself. One sentence each, then move on.
- Pass the phone to the next person for the next question.
Pointing at the same moment means nobody can copy the person next to them.

Each group fits one part of the season. Start with decorating in early December and save the Christmas Day group for the day itself.

A plan for the Christmas season
You don’t need to play all 90 in one sitting. Spread a few across the month:
| When | Group | How many | Tip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Putting up the tree | Decorating | 5 | Ask one per box of ornaments. |
| Office party or gift swap | Presents | 5 to 10 | Read one before each gift is opened. |
| Christmas Eve | Santa and elves | All 15 | Let the kids answer first, then the grown-ups. |
| After presents on Christmas Day | Christmas Day | 5 | The winner of each vote picks the next movie. |
| The drive to see the lights | Snow and winter | As many as you like | The front-seat passenger reads. |
| At the kids’ table | Silly ones | All 15 | Let the youngest reader go first. |
Three Christmas twists
- Ornament vote. Everyone holds a red ornament or napkin for the first option and a green one for the second, then shows it on three.
- Stocking ballot. Players drop a slip marked A or B into a stocking. The host reads the count, so nobody knows who picked what.
- Gift tiebreak. At a white elephant swap, when the room splits evenly, the person holding the most-wanted gift breaks the tie.

Frequently asked questions
Are these Christmas would you rather questions family-friendly?
Yes. Every question is written to be read out with grandparents and young kids in the room. None of them mentions alcohol, dating or anyone’s looks.
How many Christmas would you rather questions are there?
90, in 6 groups that follow December from decorating the tree to winter break. None of them are in the 240-question would you rather game or on any other page of this site.

Yes. The presents group and the winter group suit coworkers, and nothing in them puts anyone on the spot. Read one while people queue for food or between Secret Santa gifts.
How do you play would you rather on a video call?
The host reads the question and everyone holds up one finger for the first option or two for the second. People who join by phone can type 1 or 2 in the chat.
Do I need to print anything?
No. Keep this page open on one phone and pass it along, or press the random button and let it choose.
